How to Play 24-0: A Full Guide to the F1 Perfect-Season Game

By 24-0 Editorial Updated July 19, 2026

24-0 is a Formula 1 team-building game with one goal: assemble a package good enough to win all 24 races of a season. No real driver or team has ever done it. Here’s exactly how the game works.

1. Spin for an era

Each draft round starts with a spin. The wheel lands on a decade of F1 history — the 1950s through the 2020s — and hands you a small pool of real cars or drivers from around that era. The spin also names a Grand Prix, purely for flavour.

You don’t have to build entirely within one era. The spin just flavours the candidate pool for that round. What matters is assembling a balanced, powerful team overall — and, as you’ll see, cars and drivers that all belong to the same era earn a chemistry bonus.

2. Draft your team: chassis, two drivers, principal

Four picks, in order:

  1. Chassis (constructor) — the car. In modern F1 the machine decides most races, so this is usually your most important pick. Chassis are rated for pace, reliability, and in-season development.
  2. Lead driver — your number one. Rated for racecraft, qualifying pace, and consistency.
  3. Second driver — your number two. This is not a throwaway pick. Because a race is won if either car finishes first, a strong second driver measurably raises your odds every weekend.
  4. Team principal — a light strategy modifier who sharpens race strategy and car development. Principals are original, fictional strategic archetypes.

Classic mode shows every rating. Blind Draft mode hides the numbers and shows only names and roles — you draft on your own knowledge of F1 history instead of a spreadsheet.

You get three rerolls across the whole draft. Spend them on a slot where the era’s pool genuinely doesn’t fit what you’re building.

3. The season simulation

Once your team is set, the game computes your ratings — car pace, reliability, driver lineup, race strategy, era fit — and a transparent chemistry score based on how your specific picks fit together. Then it simulates all 24 Grands Prix.

Each race, both of your drivers produce a performance built from your car’s pace, their skill, strategy, and a large dose of seeded variance — the wet races, safety cars, and rival purple patches that make F1 unpredictable. The better of your two cars is compared against the strongest rival that weekend. Reliability can retire a car, and if both cars retire, you can’t win that race.

A Grand Prix is a win if either of your drivers finishes first. Podiums and points still show up in the race log, but only a P1 counts toward 24-0.

4. Results and the perfect season

The results screen gives you a grade (S for a flawless 24-0, down to F), your race-by-race season, your chemistry breakdown, your best pick, and which driver scored the most wins. Every run also generates a short, shareable seed — send it to a friend and they’ll get the exact same draft options you did.

Going 24-0 is deliberately rare. Even an elite package only sweeps the season a fraction of the time, because 24 races is a long way to go without a single mechanical failure, rain gamble, or rival masterclass going against you. That’s the whole challenge: it mirrors the fact that no team in F1 history has ever won every race in a season.

5. The Daily Challenge

Everyone who plays the Daily Challenge on the same day gets the identical sequence of draft options, so it’s a fair test of who drafts best. Submit your season result to the public leaderboard — no account required.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to play 24-0?+

No. There's no sign-up, no email, and no download. Your progress and personal-best record are saved in your browser's local storage only.

Why do I draft two drivers instead of one?+

Because a Formula 1 team runs two cars, and a Grand Prix is won if either of your drivers finishes first. A strong second driver raises your chance of a win at every race, which makes the number-two pick a real decision.

Can I re-draft if I don't like my options?+

You can't change a pick once you've made it, but you get three rerolls across the whole draft to see a fresh set of candidates for a slot before you commit.
